Who is Physics Wallah?

Alakh Pandey, popularly known as Physics Wallah, is a resident of Allahabad (Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh. He is extremely popular among school students from classes 10 to 12 of ICSE and CBSE boards.

Alakh Pandey first started uploading videos on YouTube in the year 2016. In the beginning, his content was focused on Physics of the ICSE board (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education). Soon, he started teaching ICSE Chemistry as well, his first Chemistry video being "Mole Concept In 40 Mins".

But, the first video on his channel to go viral was "Class 11 Chapter 4: Vector 01: Scalar And Vector", which has a massive 2.6M views at the time of writing this article.

His way of teaching Physics and Chemistry to his online audience is amazing! He explains each and every concept, no matter how difficult it may be, in a very simple manner which students find easy to understand and memorise.

Physics Wallah has his fan base not only in India, but also in Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries where Hindi is understood.

He is also known for his unique way of teaching where he cracks jokes, sings songs and even shows a few dance steps here and there to keep his students entertained during long lectures.


Alakh Pandey's Background Story

He had a very humble start at the beginning when he used to teach under a yellow light bulb with no proper microphone or good quality camera. But the immense support that he got from his audience, built him his fortune.

In the beginning, just like every other small YouTubers have to face, Physics Wallah too had to face a lot of hardships. He didn't use to get enough views on his videos in spite of all the hard work that he had to do.

He had also said that in early days, his videos used to get only two likes each, one from his mother and the other from his sister.

He soon started refining his videos, making the quality better day by day. He had also introduced a few different teachers on his channel to help him cover all the topics in a short time, but it was not very well received by his students. That's because Alakh's way of teaching is truly unique and no one else can teach like him. He is truly brilliant in his job.

Alakh Pandey sir has now successfully come out of his financial problems and is now living a comfortable and rich life with his family, with the immense love and support from his extended YouTube family.

Alakh Pandey is an excellent teacher with a heart of pure gold. All he wants is, the best for his students.
In his endeavour, he had uploaded a couple of videos where he had exposed how big educational brands and institutions are ripping off the students by taking a huge fee from them and giving not enough content in return.

Due to those videos of his, he had to face some threats (unconfirmed) from some educational giants.
He has also been approached by many big educational platforms, but he never joined those as he wanted to keep the best quality education free and available to all.

Current Activities of Physics Wallah

Alakh sir has recently started a new series called the "Alpha series" for students of class 11, where he has started teaching on a smartboard instead of the traditional whiteboard.

Physics Wallah has also launched his own Android app where he provides Question Answers, Videos and live lectures to his students. He has introduced the Lashya Batch 2020 - 2021, for students studying in class 12. 

The Lakshya Batch would only be available through the app and an enrollment fee of Rs 999 is needed to be a part of the batch.
